Blue Ridge Public Affairs — Accessibility Statement Last updated: May 5, 2026

Blue Ridge Public Affairs is committed to providing a website that is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. This commitment reflects our values as a firm that works across government, business, and community spheres, and aligns with the principles of the Accessible Canada Act (ACA, S.C. 2019, c. 10) and the Alberta Human Rights Act, which prohibit discrimination on the basis of physical and mental disability.

Our Standard We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the recognized international benchmark for web accessibility and is referenced in federal accessibility regulations under the ACA. These guidelines help ensure our site is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users.

Measures We Take We strive to ensure our website: is navigable by keyboard alone, is compatible with common screen readers and assistive technologies, uses sufficient color contrast to support users with low vision, includes descriptive alternative text for images, uses clear and plain language, and avoids content that could cause seizures or physical discomfort. Our site is built on the Wix platform, which incorporates built-in accessibility features and ongoing accessibility improvements.

The Accessible Canada Act The Accessible Canada Act came into force in 2019 and aims to achieve a barrier-free Canada by January 1, 2040. It identifies barriers in areas including information and communication technology, and requires federally regulated organizations to identify, remove, and prevent accessibility barriers. While Blue Ridge Public Affairs is a private Alberta firm and not a federally regulated entity, we recognize the ACA as a leading standard and voluntarily align with its principles.

Alberta Human Rights The Alberta Human Rights Act prohibits discrimination on the basis of physical disability and mental disability in services customarily available to the public. We are committed to ensuring our digital communications and services are offered in a manner consistent with these protections.

Known Limitations: While we make every effort to ensure accessibility, some content or third-party elements embedded in our site may not yet meet all accessibility standards. We are committed to identifying and addressing any such gaps on an ongoing basis.

Feedback and Contact We welcome feedback about the accessibility of our website. If you encounter any barriers, have difficulty accessing any content, or would like to request information in an alternative format, please contact us through the contact form on this website. We will make every effort to respond within five business days and to provide accessible alternatives where needed.
